Proximity Papers is Gary Farrelly’s first solo exhibition in Brussels, a curatorial initiative of Various Artists. The new body of work signals a reignition of his interest in obsessive and repetitive processes of hand manufacture such as stitching, stenciling, typing, folding, labelling and redacting. The exhibition proposes a series of architectural, geographical and political fictions laced with traces of self-referential archiving and linguistic contamination.
